Music - My Top 10

Just seeing Steve Tyler on American Idol brings back good memories and I must say I love this track very much.
Adele is just awesome! I really like this song.

The first time I heard this was on TV in November 2010 when children in need was on.  Did I donate yes and have been following the group closely since then
It would definately be rude not to add JLS. I love JLS so much was not surprised to have receive 3 of the same CDs on my birthday. One of my friends even imagined her mum loving JLS and thinks I am cool at my age (36 years plus VAT)
I received the CD for Christmas and it is one of the best presents of all time. I am a Nana and not a grandma so you can imagine when my grand children sing the song to me.
I love listening to Michael Bubble when I am driving, in bed doing house work and thinking.
Another summer day
has come and gone away
In Paris or Rome...
but I wanna go home
...uhm Home
may be surrounded by
a million people I
still feel all alone
just wanna go home
I miss you, you know

And I've been keeping all the letters
that I wrote to you,
Each one a line or two
I'm fine baby, how are you?
I would send them but I know that it's just not enough
My words were cold and flat
And you deserve more than that

Another aeroplane, another sunny place,
I'm lucky I know
but I wanna go home
I got to go home

Let me go home

I'm just too far from where you are
I wanna come home

And I feel just like I'm living
someone else's life
It's like I just stepped outside
when everything was going right
And I know just why you could not come along with me
This was not your dream
but you always believed in me...

Another winter day
Has come and gone away
in either Paris or Rome
and I wanna go home
Let me go home

And I'm surrounded by
A million people I
still feel alone
Let me go home
I miss you , you know

Let me go home
I've had my run
baby I'm done
I gotta go home

Let me go home
it'll all be alright
I'll be home tonight
I'm coming back home"

What a happy song. Love it!
I should have added the Script, Westlife, Take that and a few more but today this is how I feel and the selection is just spot on. Thanks to all the talents out there.

Isle of Man Facebook

Manxbook

www.manxbook.co
The isle of man has now got a new facebook called Manxbook. Here is a message received today. Please add your comments.
New Feature Announcement.

Manxbook

Hello Manxbook members

I thought you might like to know about a new feature just added to Manxbook.
Have any of you seen those fake apps on Facebook, called something like 'Profile Spy' or something similar, that claim to able to show you who has viewed your FB profile page?
Well if you didn't already know, all of those apps are scams, Facebook will never allow access to profile view data, but judging by the number of people that have have fallen for them, It would be fair to say that most people would like to know who has been viewing their profile.
Well I can't change how Facebook does things but I can change Manxbook so I've just added a feature that lets you see who has visited your Manxbook profile page.
You don't need click any links or install anything, it's already set up, just log in and go to your profile page to see who's been checking you out. (you might see my ugly mug on your visitors as I've been dropping in on a few people to test out the feature before announcing it)
Don't like this feature? If you don't like the idea of this, or have an issue or complaint about anything else to do with Manxbook, just let me know. e-mail support@manxbook.co or use the onsite Feedback form
Thanks for using Manxbook

Daily Bible Readings

Blue Letter Bible

December 17, 2010

Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy
God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold
thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10)

Ever will the Lord raise up His people from their troubles! Ever will
He seek to heal their hurts! Ever will He redeem His people from
wickedness! And ever will the Lord Almighty strengthen the resolve of
His children that they might proclaim His mercies forever! Praise His
name forever all you His people! Hallelujah!

Be Fruitful
December 16, 2010
By Jim Penner

"The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." -Galatians 5:22
This is an amazing list of qualities; the very character traits that we are to live out and display in our lives. The ultimate attitude-adjustment list. I remember as a child my mother was fond of saying, "Check your attitude," when I would get out of line, talk back, mope around, raise my voice in anger, or at times ignore family conversations in the car while I lived in my own little world. As a parent, I've repeated those words to my teenagers. I'm sure many of you can relate. You were once scolded, or have scolded others over attitude.

Yet, how do we check ourselves? In what way can we check our own attitudes, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day? How in our rough-and-tumble world can we possibly model such fruits of the Spirit? It's so easy to get frustrated with our fellow humans - in the office, at home, at play. The answer is actually quite simple, and easier than you think. Pay close attention to the first six words from Galatians 5:22: "The fruit of the spirit is..."

Displaying these incredible qualities is the wonderful outward display of the Holy Spirit of God living within you! When left on our own, we would stumble every time, but you don't have to. The great news for you, today, is that YOU CAN be an incredible display of Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Gentleness, and Self Control - all by letting Christ come alive in you today!

Prayer:
Almighty God, thank You for Your precious gift of the Holy Spirit to me! Use me today as a joyful display of the fruit of Your Spirit! Lord God, today I lift a prayer to You that Dr. Schuller has taught me. I ask You to "Make my life a window for Your light to shine through, and a window to reflect Your love to all I meet." In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

What "fruit of the Spirit" do you display? What spiritual fruit are you praying for God to ripen in your life?

Share your thoughts...

Walking with Jesus

Matthew 6:25 - 34

Jesus told his disciples not to worry about anything including tomorrow or the future because tomorrow or the future will worry about itself. In other words there are enough troubles that the day is carrying so there is no use adding to the load. Jesus told us that God provides for the birds of the air and the lilies of the field and how much more will He provide for us. We only need to trust God and pray about our every need believing that He is faithful and will keep His promises. What we will eat, drink or wear are all His concern and none of these should be a source of worry for us. God has value for us and thinks about us and everything that is of concern to us is of concern to Him. We cannot add anything to our lives by worrying. Worrying rather takes so much from us - emotionally, physically, mentally and in many ways. Worry deprives us or the joy that we should have and causes many illnesses. Jesus told us to seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness and all things will be added or given to us as well. May God help us to be obedient to His word and live a worry-free life. Amen

My music

Relaxation: Music is found in every culture and it keeps getting better and better. No matter where in the world you are even if you cannot speak the vernacular you will be able to enjoy the local music.
History:
Today is mothers day in most part of the world. We celebrated in the UK in April.

I have been listening to:
Lonestar - "I am so in love with you" (amazed).

This piece of music is so romantic and relaxing to listen to. The words are so sweet and I can't believe anyone will disagree with me.
The opening words "Everytime our eyes meet this feeling inside me is almost more than I can take....." Lovely.
I have listened to it for over an hour and it gets better and better. Surprisingly this was written for Boyz2Men but they turned it down. I have listened to the cover version they did but Lonestar is really amazed by me.

Westlife -  Every little thing you do
Darren Hayes - Insatiable
Aerosmith -
Def Leopard
Ronan Keating
Bryan Adams

Nothing beats the old time favorites.
